Olga Zhukova is the CEO of Moscow Concert Hall “Zaryadye” since August 2017.
Two concert seasons of “Zaryadye” saw world premieres of new works of Russian and foreign composers, as well as ballets of world famous dancer Sergey Polunin. Prominent musicians and artists visited Russian for the first time, and it was “Zaryadye” they performed in. Among them were prominent Bach researcher and conductor Sir John Eliot Gardiner; conductor Andrew Parrott; soprano Magdalena Kožená, countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński; conductor Leonardo García Alarcón; countertenor Valer Sabadus; fortepiano player Tomasz Ritter, and many others.
The result of the work of “Zaryadye” Hall made professional community to rate Hall high, and recognize the Hall as one of the best concert venues of the world. It’s the highest.
Since 2009, Olga Zhukova has held the position of the Head of Department of Creative Programmes Coordination of the Ministry of Culture Department of Support for Professional and Folk Art. Since 2011, she has been working as deputy director of Department of Creative Programmes Coordination of the Ministry of Culture Department of Support for Professional and Folk Art. In January 2015, she was appointed Deputy Director for international relations of the Ministry of Culture; since September 2015, she has been working as a CEO of the Federal Directorate of Performing Arts ROSCONCERT.
Among significant projects realized by Zhokova are organization and management of Culture Olympics 2010 – 2014 in Sochi; organization and management of Cultural Universiade in the city of Kazan; organization and management of culture programme of the APEC Summit in Vladivostok; The Year of Russian Culture in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, UK, and other countries; organization and supervision of large scale cultural events in CIS countries; organization and management of 14th and 15th Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and Saint Petersburg; the All-Russian Music Contest; the international Grand Piano Competition (art director Denis Matsuev); international festival “Zapomni Etot Mig” (“Remember This Moment”), dedicated to 85 years of the birth of composer Mikael Tariverdiev; the All-Russian Competition of Ballet Dancers and Choreographers, etc. She also was the coordinator of implementation of the President of Russian Federation orders connected with development of Russian artistic groups touring.
Olga Zhukova was nominated for a “TEFI-2002”, the main professional TV-award in Russia, for “Investigative Journalism” award. Her class rank of the Russian Federation state civil service is the Russian Federation State Advisor of the 3rd degree. Olga Zhukova is included in the President’s personnel reserve.
Olga Zhukova is awarded the Letter of Appreciation and two Certificates of Honour by President of the Russian Federation for professional achievements, a significant contribution to the social and economic development of the Russian Federation, merits in the humanitarian field, long-standing service, and public activism. Zhukova is awarded three Letters of Appreciation by Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation for personal contribution to developing the Russian culture, for significant contribution to several international projects, and to organizing of the 14th and the 15th Tchaikovsky Competition.
