“A Mass for Peace” at Zaryadye Hall
21 April: the famous large-scale work by Welsh Karl Jenkins to be performed
The Mass premiered at The Royal Albert Hall, London, on 25 April 2000, to great public acclaim. The National Youth Choir of Great Britain and the National Musicians Symphony Orchestra took part at the performance. By March 2008 the piece had already seen 537 performances worldwide.
The Mass was released as CD in 2000, during the recording The London Philharmonic Orchestra was conducted by Karl Jenkins himself.
