Vadim Rudenko, piano

Vadim Rudenko graduated from the Moscow Conservatory with S.Dorensky. Winner
of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the Paloma O’Shea and the Viotti competitions as well as Tchaikovsky Competition (1994, 1998). He has toured extensively throughout Russia and abroad, collaborated with leading orchestras including the Tchaikovsky and Svetlanov Orchestras, RNO, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio, «Mozarteum», orchestras of Rotterdam, Warsaw, Prague, Paris, Japanese NHK and Radio France. Among his partners are Y.Temirkanov, V.Fedoseev, G.Rozhdestvensky, E.Svetlanov, V.Sinaysky, A.Vedernikov, Y.Simonov, N.Alexeev, Y.Bashmet and M.Pletnev. Th e musician has played in the major music centers of the world and has participated in the festivals in La Roque d’Antheron, Gstaad, Newport, Ruhr, Nantes, Warsaw, as well as the «Stars on Baikal» and «Stars of the White Nights».

The Russian National Orchestra was founded in 1990 by pianist and conductor Mikhail Pletnev. Of its debut at the BBC Proms in London, the Evening Standard wrote, "They played with such captivating beauty that the audience gave an involuntary sigh of pleasure."  The RNO has been described as "a living symbol of the best in Russian art" (Miami Herald) and "as close to perfect as one could hope for" (Trinity Mirror). The RNO is unique among the principal Russian ensembles as an institution funded with the support of individuals, corporations and foundations in Russia and throughout the world.
