History of Music Styles
Wagner, Liszt

Lecturer Danil Topilin
The History of Musical Styles is a course of lectures at the Zaryadye Hall, in which musicologists, teachers from Moscow music universities and journalists talk about musical styles.

The cycle is designed for two years: starting last fall, we hope by the spring of 2023 to start talking about contemporary composers and music of the future.

In April and May 2022, we talked about Mozart's operas, the Viennese classics, Gluck's opera reform and his Orpheus, about what the sonata wants. At the last lecture, we talked about one of the most iconic pieces of music - Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
