“Musiсal Team of Russia”
Chamber Concert

Aleksey Lobikov, trombone
Philipp Kopachevsky, piano
Andrey Telkov, piano

“Musiсal Team of Russia” is a unique concert cycle that was launched in St.Petersburg’s “House of Music” back in 2007. Young Russian soloists take part in the concerts right before they take part in different music competitions. And some of them are already laureates, including those who were praised at the Tchaikovsky Competition.

Tonight onstage are soloists of “House of Music”: laureates of international competitions trombonist Aleksey Lobikov and pianist Philipp Kopachevsky (both were participants of the latest Tchaikovsky Competition, with Lobikov taken 1st prize, and Kopachevsky got special prize in the II tour). Andrey Telkov will play piano part; in 2013, he won Grand Prix at Jāzeps Vītols International Competition.

Trombon is the featured soloist in the first part of the concert; sophisticated and subtle pieces of Stjepan Šulek and “Debussy-esque” Tchaikovsky would be performed. While the second part is dedicated to piano works of Chopin.
