Lyudmila Ulitskaya and Polina Osetinskaya present their literature concert “Concerted Action”.

Since ancient times, there has always been a dialogue between Music and Word. The Word deciphers enigmatic world of sounds, while music adds what words can’t express.

So, the author of “Daniel Stein, Interpreter” reads her unpublished poems and short stories, and the pianist, famous for her one-of-a-kind programmes, plays rare pieces of Bach, Desyatnikov, Kalējs, Vasks, Skarlatti, and John Cage.

Concert and reading named “Concerted Action” is a part of the 2nd International festival of interesting contemporary classical music “re:Formers”. The Festival that starts in November 2019 traditionally occupies best concert venues of Moscow and Saint Petersburg. “re:Formers” mission is to show some unique forms of contemporary classical music’s interpretation, it’s width and depth, with accessibility of perception.
